What to Expect During Your Driver’s Medical Exam?
The Driver’s Medical Examination Report, utilized by RoadSafetyBC, plays a pivotal role in determining your medical fitness to drive. This report equips their team with essential details to evaluate your medical capability for driving.

During the exam, the following aspects will be assessed:

    • Cognitive functions such as memory, attention, and judgment
    • Vision
    • General physical condition

Your medical history is also reviewed to gauge your mental and emotional readiness for driving.

It’s important to note that not all disabilities disqualify a person from driving. In certain cases, RoadSafetyBC may issue a conditional license with specific limitations.

Items to Bring to Your Appointment:

    • Your BC Care Card
    • Your eyeglasses, if you use them

This streamlined process ensures that your driving capabilities are evaluated accurately and efficiently, keeping safety our top priority.
